Leading international renewable energy consultancy Natural Power has announced the company's move in to the biomass sector, further adding to their global products and services provided in the wind, wave and tidal markets
A dedicated team of experienced professionals across the biomass and associated industries have joined Natural Power's renewable energy experts at their global headquarters in Scotland.
The biomass team led by Dan Gates, formerly from a forestry background with engineering and project management experience joined Natural Power earlier this year and work has already been secured including due diligence services on a 15MW biomass plant in England.
Further projects range from private estates and large public sector clients through to established developers who require development support across the biomass project lifecycle.
On the announcement, Gates commented: "Successful biomass projects offer a dependable renewable energy supply with over 90% capacity factor - if you pick the right technology, fuel and site you can have a very attractive project. In recent years there have been some poor developments across the sector but our newly established team at Natural Power will be striving to provide successful, constructible projects that work both for the client and the environment."
