In Germany, the unequal position of men and women in the workplace is mainly due to obstacles of a cultural nature, such as the widespread negative perception of a working mother. A highly qualified German astrophysicist, Dr Doris Neumann, tells that she left her native Germany and moved to France, in order to be able to be a wife, mother and researcher at the same time.
